Iraqi tribal fighters liberate al-Wafaa area in Ramadi

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Anbar Provincial Council announced, that the tribal fighters liberated al-Wafaa area in Ramadi after violent clashes which resulted in killing more than 27 ISIS militants and desertion of many others.

Khaled al-Tarmouz, member of the provincial council stated, “Iraqi tribal fighters today managed to liberate the area of al-Wafaa, located 35 km south of Ramadi,” adding that, “The ISIS group has suffered big losses in lives and equipment, with over 27 ISIS militants killed and dozens of fleeing fighters after heavily lost the battle.”
