 ISIS arrests 12 Kurdish citizens in central Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Monday, Kurdistan Democratic Party in the province of Nineveh announced, that the ISIS organization has arrested 12 Kurdish citizens in central Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad).

Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Spokesman in Mosul Saeed Mamouzini said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “ISIS elements arrested of 12 Kurdish citizens in the city of Mosul,” adding that, “The detainees refused to participate in military operations in Mosul.”

Mamouzini added, “The elements of the organization herded the detainees to an unknown destination.”

Noteworthy, ISIS imposed its control over the city of Mosul in Nineveh province (405 km north of Baghdad) in the tenth of June 2014 and extended its activities to several provinces and regions.
