ISIS attack Iraqi Army in Balad area, casualties in both sides

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source in Salahuddin province stated that violent clashes are taking place in al-Balad district after a group of ISIS militants attacked the area from different areas.

The source informed IraqiNews, “In the early morning, ISIS militants attacked the district of al-Balad and clashes between the militants and Iraqi Army are currently taking place in Aziz-Balad (southern Balad), Balad station (southwestern Balad), al-Rawashid (northeastern Balad) neighborhoods.”

“The ongoing clashes resulted in 1 dead and 3 wounded among Iraqi soldiers. The number of casualties among ISIS militants remains unknown” said the source.
