ISIS attacks Ramadi to reverse its defeat in Tikrit, says Golden Division of Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, deputy commander of the Golden Division in Anbar province, Brigadier General Abdul Amir al-Khazraji, considered the ISIS attack on Ramadi an attempt to reverse its defeat in Tikrit, while stressed that the security situation in the city is fully under control.

Khazraji said in press statements,”The security situation in the center of Ramadi is stable; all security sectors and tribal fighters are in control there,” noting that, “There are clashes between the security forces and members of the ISIS organization in various parts of the city, especially the northern parts.”

Khazraji added, “The terrorist organization is trying to reverse its loss in Salahuddin and defeat in Tikrit with victories in Anbar by attacking the city of Ramadi,” pointing out that, “Great loss of life and equipment were inflected upon ISIS ranks and we will not allow it to enter Ramadi.”
