Kirkuk – (IraqiNews.com) The self-proclaimed Islamic State extremist group executed eight persons, including four former police and army officers, southwest of Kirkuk, Alsumaria News stated on Saturday.

Alsumaria reported, “Today, members of the Islamic State extremist group executed eight persons, including four former army and police officers in a popular market, in central Hawija (55 km southwest of Kirkuk), after detaining them for collaborating with security and government forces.”

“The group filmed the execution of the detainees, after being sentenced to death by the so-called ISIS Sharia court in the district,” Alsumaria added.

Noteworthy, Islamic State group executed dozens of the residents of Hawija since imposing their control over the district in June 2014, on different charges.
