(IraqiNews.com) The organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) sentenced tens of civilians from the ‘Albu-Fahd’ clan, east of Ramadi, to death before Iraqi helicopters overflew those areas. Iraqi army then, supported with local tribes, attacked to liberate towns seized by gunmen at dawn last Friday.

Within hours, ISIS managed to take control over those towns, and booby-trap roads and houses, taking advantage of the delay of government support for the tribes and the absence of the international coalition’s sorties. ISIS invested in these conditions for the transfer of weapons during Friday night until Saturday via the Euphrates to nearby areas, using river boats and with the help of “sleeper cells” in the eastern bank of the river, according to some tribal leaders.
