Key ISIS recruiter killed by Iraqi forces near Baiji, Iraq

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, military officers in the Iraqi Army said that the security forces managed to kill Jacob al-Maqdesi, a key ISIS member responsible for leading the recruitment of volunteers to fight with the group.

Al-Maqdesi—a 45-year-old man who was one of the well-known senior leaders in al-Qaeda, is a Palestinian member of ISIS and was responsible for recruiting new volunteers through social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Today, several sources reported for IraqiNews.com that military officers in the Iraqi Army declared that al-Maqdesi was killed in an operation at al-Bawasel area near Baiji, located 40 km north of Tikrit.
