Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Mayor of Mosul Hussein Hajem announced on Saturday, that the Islamic State group is conducting random arrests and executions in western Mosul, while pointed out that a number of the group’s members tried to cross the river toward western Mosul.

Hajim said in a press statement, “The Islamic State group is carrying out random arrests and executions in western Mosul, and started to check the citizens’ cell phones and clothes.”

“The citizens in western Mosul are suffering from high prices and lack of food materials and oil products, where the price of one liter of oil exceeded 6 US dollars,” Hajim added.

“There is an accurate plan set by security forces in the battle to liberate the western side of Mosul,” Hajim explained.

Hajim also declared that the Islamic State executed a family, including women and children, while trying to flee toward eastern Mosul.

Earlier today, members of the Islamic State tried to sneak into western Mosul, but their attempt was foiled by the international coalition aircraft, Hajim also said.
