Ismail Mahlawi appointed as Head of Anbar Operations

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Media War Cell announced on Monday the appointment of Maj. Gen. Ismail Mahlawi as Head of Anbar Operations.

The cell said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Maj. Gen. Qassim Mahlawi has been appointed as the commander of Anbar Operations instead of Maj. Gen. Qassim Al-Muhammadi.”

It is noteworthy that Mahlawi held several military positions, including commander of 28th Brigade and deputy commander of the 3rd Division, as well as the commander of the seventh division, and the commander of Anbar police.
