(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – a security source in Salahuddin province announced on Tuesday, that joint security forces have begun the liberation operation of western areas in Salahuddin province, noting that those forces have made progress in a number of areas.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The joint security forces of the army , federal police and factions of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia have begun the process of liberalization of the western regions in Salahuddin province,” noting that, “the engineering teams were able to dismantle tens of explosive devices.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “the forces have advanced in the areas of Nibai, al-Kasarat and al-Rafiat,” noting that, “the forces managed to dismantle a truck bomb containing 18 barrels of explosives “.
