 Joint forces cut ISIS supply lines between Raqqa and south of Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Heet District Council in Anbar Province announced on Thursday cutting ISIS supply lines between the Syrian city of Raqqa and the areas located west of Anbar, in addition to destructing their headquarters, while also pointed out that ISIS is unable to send reinforcements to its fighters.

The Head of Heet District Council Mohammad al-Hiti said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Security forces belonging to the army and police, backed by the coalition aircraft, were able to cut ISIS supply lines between the Syrian city of Raqqa and areas west of Anbar,” pointing out that, “The security forces destructed ISIS deployment points in Qaim after trying to infiltrate from Raqqa towards Heet District and Kabisa west of Ramadi.”

Hiti added, “The security forces were able to secure the land route, desert areas and valleys between the Syrian city of Raqqa and the axes of Heet and Kbisa.”
