(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The War Media Cell belonging to the Joint Operations Command announced on Saturday, that 69 “terrorists” have been killed and 21 shelters were destroyed for the enemy during military operations in the provinces of Anbar and Salahuddin.

The War Media Cell said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The troops of Baghdad Operations continued cleansing the area of al-Karma and its surrounding areas with the participation of the federal police brigades, volunteers of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi and the sons of al-Ghayiari clans, backed by the army’ air force and the international coalition in coordination with Anbar Operations Command,” noting that, “The results were the killing of an opposition sniper in addition to destroying two vehicles that had carried machine-guns and killing everyone inside them, as well as the destruction of a shelter for the enemy and killing whom inside it.”

The statement read, “Security forces continued for the 3rd day in a row its attack on the enemy in the areas of al-Naimiyah, al-Heityawin, al-Zabyian, al-Sa’dan, al-Anaz and near the Euphrates River to end the presence of the terrorist gangs,” noting that, “The operations resulted in killing 35 terrorists and the destruction of two trenches and 15 shelters for the enemy, in addition to destroying two vehicles that had carried machine-guns and treating five booby-trapped houses.”

“Anbar Operations were able to treat targets for the terrorist elements in al-Khalediyah Island, in addition to burning vehicles and killing 5 terrorists that were inside them,” the statement added.
