(IraqiNews.com) During the visit of head of parliament Salim al-Jabouri to Oman, Jordan refused an Iraq’s request to establish airplanes bases to bomb the sites of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

MP for the Kurdistan Alliance Shireen Abdul Rida—who accompanied al-Jubouri in his visit—said that, “Iraq and Jordan discussed consolidation of relationships between the two countries, and assistance in the fight against the terrorist organization ISIS.”

She noted, “Iraq asked Jordan to have bases for airplanes to bomb ISIS, but the Jordanian government refused to do so,” justifying that Jordan is a small country with fears from ISIS dangers, and that is its right.

Noteworthy, on Tuesday, House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri ended an official visit to the Jordanian capital Amman that lasted for two days during which he met a number of Jordanian officials, led by his Jordanian counterpart Atef Troana and Prime Minister Abdullah Nesour.
