Katyusha rockets kill 3, wound 13 north of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) A source within the Iraqi police announced Tuesday, that 3 civilians were killed and 13 others were wounded, including women and children when Katyusha rockets fell on two areas north of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews, “Two Katyusha rockets fell on al-Mochahada area north of Baghdad, which resulted in killing two children and injuring five civilians, including women.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Three other rockets fell on Sabaa al-Bour area north of Baghdad, leaving one civilian dead and eight others injured.”

The source continued, “Security forces were deployed in the two regions to track those who launched the rockets, while the bodies of the dead were transported to the Forensic Medicine Authority and the injured to the nearest hospital for treatment.”
