Kobani fight is opportunity to blunt ISIS power, says US General

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Gen. Lloyd Austin said that even though the town of Kobani may fall, but the more Kobani fight attrit ISIS by blunting their power, the less U.S. have to fight them on other areas of the battlefield.

Austin noted that the more U.S. to grind ISIS’s power in Kobani, less U.S. have to fight them on some other areas of the battlefield. “The campaign is on the right track. We’re doing the right things” he said.

“The enemy has decided to put much efforts in Kobani” Austin said. The U.S. is ‘for the first time’ getting intelligence from Syrian Kurds in the city about ISIS positions, and that helps us in targeting their locations.
