(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A security source in Kirkuk province announced on Tuesday, that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces had managed to foil an attack by ISIS militants on their headquarters northwest of the province, while pointed out to the killing of five suicide bombers belonging to the ISIS.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The Peshmerga forces repelled, this morning, an assault by ISIS and killed five suicide bombers that attacked the headquarters of the 108th Brigade and 110th Brigade of the Peshmerga forces in the vicinity of Srklan in the district of al-Dabs (45 km northwest of Kirkuk), following clashes between the two sides,” indicating that, “An element of the Peshmerga was killed during the clashes, while five others were wounded.”
