(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) spokesman in Mosul, Saeed Mamouzini announced Friday, that 17 ISIS elements have been killed during violent clashes with the paramilitary Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the district of Sinjar in west of Mosul.

Mamouzini stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com “Today the paramilitary Peshmerga forces clashed with ISIS militants in the area of Sanoon in the district of Sinjar, located in west of Mosul,” pointing out that, “Violent clashes erupted after the ISIS militants attempted to attack the area.”

“The clashes resulted in killing 17 ISIS elements and the destruction of 4 vehicles,” he added.
