Kurdish Peshmerga forces repel ISIS attack on southern Erbil

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a military source within the paramilitary Peshmerga forces stated, that the Peshmerga has foiled an ISIS attack on southern Erbil and caused dozens of casualties among ISIS ranks.

The source informed IraqiNews, “In the late hours of yesterday, the Peshmerga forces have managed to repel an intensive attack by the ISIS group militants on the Kurdish Peshmerga sites in the village of Tal Arrim and Sultan-Abdullah hills, located 40 km south of Erbil,” adding that, “The violent clashes between the two sides resulted in killing and wounding dozens of ISIS elements.”
