At least 14 casualties in mortar attack in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) on Saturday, a source within the police force stated, that 3 people have been killed and at least 11 others were injured in a mortar shell attack in the areas of al-Shu’la and al-Ghazaliya in Baghdad.

The source told IraqiNews, “Six mortar shells have fallen on the areas of al-Shu’la and al-Ghazaliya,” noting that, “The attack resulted in killing 3 people and wounding at least 11 others, in addition to damage in a number of buildings.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “Ambulances ran into the area and transferred the injured people to a near hospital for medical treatment, while sent the dead bodies to the Forensic Medicine Authority.”
