At least 15 people injured in mortar shell fall in Baqubah District

(IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of Baqubah District, Abdullah al-Hayali, alannounced on thursday, that at least 15 people have been injured in a mortar shell fall at four neighborhoods in the district of Baqubah.
Hayali said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Several mortar shells had fallen on the areas of Katon al-Rahma (7 km west of Baqubah), al-Mafraq (5 km west of Baqubah), al-Hadid (10 km northwest of Baqubah) and Jurf al-Malh (7 km east of Baqubah), resulting in the injury of 15 civilians in an initial outcome.”
He added, “The security authorities began precautionary procedures, while worked to find out the sources of the mortars.”
