Mayor killed in northern Hilla

Babel (IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of al-Neil district of northern Hilla, Hameed Alkum, and his son were killed while his wife was injured on Saturday.

Police source stated to IraqiNews.com “Unidentified gunmen attacked Alkum’s house in al-Iza area, killing him along with his son and injuring his wife.”

“The gunmen escaped after implementing their crime by silenced weapons while police forces launched investigation,” the source concluded.
