MEOC declares success of Ashura security plan

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The Command of the Middle Euphrates Operations announced the success of the security plan which was set for Ashura day.

The Commander of the Middle Euphrates Operations Command, General Othman al-Ghanimi, mentioned in press conference held in Karbala province after the end of Ashura day ”The security plan resulted in arresting (88) suspects and confiscating five ammunition caches as well as dozens of Improvised Explosive Devices during the first ten days of Muharrem.”

”During the next 24 hours, all closed roads will be opened,” he added.
