Militants detonate Bai Hassan oilfield in Kirkuk

(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – An source in Kirkuk informed that a fire broke out in an oil well in Bai Hassan oilfield due to an IED explosion triggered by unidentified militants northwest of Kirkuk.
Sharing details the source said, “This morning, unidentified militants detonated an IED near well number 34 in Bai Hassan oilfield near Suliman Bashqan village in Sakran area, 65 northwest of Kirkuk. A fire broke out because of this explosion.”
The source added, “Civil Defense teams rushed to the area of incident to douse the fire and take control of the situation.”
