MoD implements precautionary security operation in Nineveh

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Defense declared implementing the security operations (Home’s Protectors) in Nineveh province.

The Ministry of Defense reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”Nineveh operations command carried out an advanced security operation over Jazera area under the supervision of its Commander and the participation of the 2nd and 3rd Infantry Divisions in addition to Nineveh Police Directorate and the Military aviation forces.”

”The security operation resulted in discovering a Qaeda shelter in the desert and the security forces burned a Ford vehicle, which was prepared to be detonated, and seized three others,” the statement added.

The statement pointed out ”The security forces succeeded in dismantling a factory for manufacturing car bombs, Improvised Explosive Devices and Adhesive Explosive Devices,” noting that “The security forces managed to destroy an ammunition cache without any losses.” \
