MoD meets US Secretary of Defense

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Acting Minister of Defense, Sadun al-Dulaimi, hosted the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense James Miller and his accompanying delegation at his office in Baghdad and they discussed the issue of exchanging experiences in combating terrorism field.

The Ministry reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday ”The meeting came within the series of meetings to implement and apply the items of the strategic convention which was concluded between Iraq and the US in regard to developing the defensive capabilities of the Iraqi Army in the fields of arming, training and exchanging experiences in combating terrorism area.”

”The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the US Department of Defense,” the statement added.

The US Deputy Secretary of Defense James Miller has arrived to Iraq on Wednesday and met the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, and they discussed the mutual security cooperation between Iraq and America. \
