 Mortar attack kills 17 ISIS militants in south of Tikrit

mortar-shells-hit-eastern-ramadiSalahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that 17 ISIS militants have been either killed or wounded in a mortar shell attack on the area of Sayid-Gharib, located in south of Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “Tribal fighters from the clans of al-Khazraj have fired mortar shells at the northern area of al-Dajil, located 120 km south of Tikrit,” pointing out that, “The mortar shells, which struck ISIS sites in the area of Sayid-Gharib, resulted in killing 16 militants and wounding 1 element of the group.”
