Mortar attack kills, injures 7 persons in Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Two civilians were killed and five others were injured due to explosion of a mortar shell at the suburbs of Muqdadiya district (40 km) to the northeast of Baquba city in Diyala province on Friday.

“A mortar shell hit a house at the suburbs Muqdadiya district to the northeast of Baquba city, killing two civilians and injuring five others,” security source told IraqiNews.com.

“The security forces transported the dead bodies to the morgue and the injuries to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.
