Nineveh police commander survives assassination attempt

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The commander of Nineveh Police Directorate survived an assassination attempt southern Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The commander of Nineveh Police Directorate, Major General Ahmed al-Jobouri, suffered an assassination attempt when an Improvised Explosive Device IED exploded targeting him on the High-Way near Qayara crossroads of southern Mosul,” noting that “The explosion did not result in any human casualties or material damage.”

The Maj. Gen, Jobouri has already survived a previous assassination attempt when two IEDs exploded about 15 meters from him when he was inspecting out the house of the Iraqiya Slate’s MP Wesal Salim. \
