One policeman killed, two wounded by hand grenade down Jadriyah Bridge in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a source within the Iraqi police announced that a policeman was killed and two others were wounded when a hand grenade thrown by an anonymous down Jadriya Bridge in central Baghdad exploded.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that, “Today an unknown person threw a hand grenade from the top of Jadiriya Bridge in central Baghdad, targeting a caravan belonging to the federal police passing under the bridge,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing one policeman and wounding two others.”

The source, who asked not to remain anonymous, added, “Security forces cordoned off the scene, while ambulances transferred the dead body to the Forensic Medicine Department and the wounded to the nearest hospital for treatment.”
