Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced, that the security operation to liberate the rest of the areas in Salahuddin from the ISIS group militants has begun in the province.

Haidar Abadi’s Office spokesman Saad Hadithi stated in an interview for IraqiNews, “The Prime Minister and the Commander in chief of the Armed Forces Haidar al-Abadi announced today, that the military operations have begun to liberate the rest of territories in Salahuddin province from the ISIS group militants,” pointing out that, “PM Haidar al-Abadi has also briefed the assigned army forces on the military preparation and possible ways to reduce losses in the battles.”

“The safety of civilians is a strategic goal for the government.”

“The army forces were instructed not to harm civilians unless they raised weapons or joined ISIS,“ Hadithi added.
