(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD – UN Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) announced on Monday that around 759 Iraqis were killed and 1207 others injured during July. It further reported that Baghdad was the worst affected city and described Iraq’s current situation as ‘unacceptable’.

“Total civilians killed in July was 629, including 10 Federal Police members, civil defense and firefighters, while the number of civilians injured amounted to 1,061 including 13 Federal Police employees,” stated UNAMI.

Adding, “Iraqi Security Forces also lost 130 of its brave men which included members of the Peshmerga forces, while 146 others were injured.”
