(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) considered on Monday the ISIS control of the city of Ramadi as a “setback”.

US Department of Defense said in a statement quoted by ‘Arabic Sky News’ and followed by iraqiNews.com, “the fall of Ramadi in ISIS hands is a setback.”

“We see a role for militias in the battle of Iraq to restore Ramadi as long as they are under the control of Baghdad.” US Department of Defense added.

Anbar province has seen a number of security updates represented in ISIS control of important areas in Ramadi, while ISIS has executed dozens of people in the province, amid mounting calls to send reinforcements, backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi Militia in order to expel ISIS from the province.
