Pentagon: US to study Iraqi request for military assistance in liberating Tikrit

Follow Up (IraqiNews.com) The US Defense Ministry (Pentagon) confirmed on Tuesday that “The US will study any request from the Iraqi Government for assistance over the halt attack to return the control on Tikrit city from the terrorist ISIL organization.”

Reuters quoted Spokesperson of the Pentagon Colonel Steve Worn as saying “Certainly, If the Iraqis officially request for the US assistance, we will study that request.”
