2 persons killed, injured in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A religeous man survived an assassination attempt while his driver was killed in an armed attack in eastern Baghdad.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Friday that ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire from silenced weapons, targeting a cleric and his driver near Khaema theater in Mustansiriya neighborhood of eastern Baghdad.”

the Source added “The cleric survived the attack which caused him slight injury but unfortunately his driver was killed due to the attack.”

The source mentioned “The gunmen escaped after the attack while the injured cleric was transported to the hospital and the dead body of the driver was sent to the morgue.”
