Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A member of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces was wounded by the fire of an ISIS sniper south of Kirkuk, Alsumaria News reported on Monday.

The Peshmerga fighter was wounded by an ISIS sniper’s fire in al-Atshana village, in the axis of the district of Daquq, the media outlets said.

Security forces evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive treatment,” Alsumaria News added.

The province of Kirkuk is witnessing a semi-continuous violent acts against civilians and security members. The province is now controlled by Iraqi Police and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, after the latest developments in Mosul and Salahuddin.
