Peshmerga forces to participate in operation to liberate Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) President of Anbar provincial Council Sabah Krhot announced on Tuesday, that the president of Kurdistan Massoud Barzani has agreed to send two regiments of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces to Anbar to participate in the military operation to liberate the province.

Krhot said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The council of Anbar asked Massoud Barzani to send military reinforcements to Anbar to participate in the operation.”

Krhot added, “Barzani agreed to send two regiments of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces to the province within days to participate in the military operation to the province.”

The Prime Minister and General Commander of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi confirmed on Wednesday (April 8, 2015), that the next battle will be in Anbar province.
