(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Monday, a security source in Nineveh Province announced, that the Peshmerga forces managed to liberate four villages northeast of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad) from the ISIS control, while pointed out to the killing of two members of the Peshmerga during the liberation battles.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The Peshmerga forces managed to liberate four villages northeast of Mosul from the ISIS control,” noting that, “ISIS members booby-trapped the villages with improvised explosive devices.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “Two Peshmerga members were killed, while others were wounded during the liberation operation of these villages.”
