 PKK announces killing 26 Turkish soldiers near Iraqi borders

(IraqiNews.com) Sulimaniya – On Tuesday the armed wing of Kurdistan Workers Party announced the killing of 26 Turkish soldiers in clashes broke out near the Iraqi borders, while pointed out that the Turkish army used heavy weapons and warplanes in these clashes.

The armed wing of Kurdistan Workers Party said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today the fighters of Kurdistan Workers Party repulsed a massive attack carried out by the Turkish army on Julmirk and Oormar areas near the Iraqi-Turkish borders,” pointing out that, “The clashes resulted in the killing of 26 Turkish soldiers.”

The statement added, “The Turkish army used heavy weapons and warplanes during the battle, as well as shelling the areas of Kurdistan Workers Party.”
