5 police elements were injured in eastern Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A number of police elements were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded to target their patrol in l-Shaab area of eastern Baghdad.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Wednesday “The IED was emplaced on the side road and exploded to target the police patrol, resulting in injuring five police elements, an officer among them, in al-Basatin area of eastern Baghdad.”

“The explosion resulted in material damages to the police vehicle as well and the police forces transported the injured policemen to the nearby hospital,” the source concluded.
