(IraqiNews.com) On Friday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that the United States is investigating reports about the use of chlorine gas against Iraqi security forces by the fighters of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Kerry said in a press statement after meeting with his South Korean counterpart that he “could not confirm media reports that refer to the use of chlorine gas in the attack on the Iraqi police last month.”

Kerry added “These allegations are very serious and we are seeking additional information before we can confirm it.”
