Security force detaines “most dangerous” kidnapping gang northwest of Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source announced that a security force detained the “most dangerous” kidnapping gang in the area of Shaala northwest of the capital Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The security force carried out today a security operation in the area of Shaala and was able to arrest the most dangerous and largest gang of kidnapping.”
The source, who asked not to be named, added, “The force transferred the detainees to a security center to take the necessary measures against them.”
On January 5, 2015, the spokesman for Baghdad Operations Command, Brigadier General Saad Maan talked about a decrease of kidnappings in the capital Baghdad areas by 90%, while stressing that the security forces had arrested “military elements” in the organization of ISIS, including a charge of assassinations in Baghdad.
