Security forces cleanse al-Madaiq, kill 33 ISIS elements, says Khalidiya Council

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The President of Khalidiya District Council announced on Tuesday the cleansing of al-Madaiq area, as well as the killing of 33 elements of the ISIS organization after fierce battles east of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad).
The head of the council Ali Dawood said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The security forces launched an extensive military operation targeting ISIS gatherings, as well as cleansed al-Madaiq area (20 km east of Ramadi),” stressing “the killing of 33 elements of the organization (ISIS).”
Dawood added that “the security forces are advancing towards the right and the left bank of the Euphrates River in Husaybah al-Sharqiya area so as to liberate it from ISIS.”
