Security forces to free Baiji’s refinery within the next few hours, says official

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Monday, an official of Salahuddin Provincial Council announced, that the next few hours will witness the full liberation of Baiji’s refinery.

The deputy president of the security committee in Salahuddin Provincial Counil, Khaled al-Khazraji, stated for IraqiNews.com, “Regiments of Salahuddin Operations Forces are heading to the refinery from the northeast and southwest axes,” pointing out that, “The forces have already completed the liberation of the areas of Abu Tema and al-Hamra in the northeast.”

“The next few hours will witness the complete liberation of Baiji’s refinery as well as the nearby area of al-Siniyah, which poses a threat to the refinery,” al-Khazraji added.
