(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Tuesday, Anbar Provincial Council announced, that the security forces have managed to gain control over 30 percent of the city of Ramadi.

The president of Anbar Provincial Council, Sabah Karhoot, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The security forces have gained control over strategic areas in Ramadi, which ISIS militants have not reached yet,” pointing out that, “These areas include al-Sajariyah, al-Sufiyah and the areas near al-Mallab, all of which represent 30 percent from the city of Ramadi.”

“The arrival of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi brigades in Anbar inflicted fear upon ISIS ranks,” he added.
