Security forces kill 6 ISIS militants in clashes southern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a security source in Salahuddin said, that six elements of the ISIS group have been killed during violent clashes with the security forces in southern Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This afternoon, a security force backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters (Iraqi Volunteer Forces) clashed with elements of the ISIS group in the outskirts of al-Dajil, located in southern Tikrit,” noting that, “The clashes resulted in killing 6 ISIS militants.”

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “The security forces have also managed to destroy two armored vehicles that were used by the terrorists during the clashes.”
