Security forces kill 9 ISIS militants in southeast of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that 9 elements of the ISIS group have been killed in an artillery strike by the security forces on ISIS sites in southeast of Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This afternoon, army forces conducted an artillery strike on gathering sites for the ISIS group militants in the districts of Tikrit and al-Door, located 25 km southeast of Tikrit,” pointing out that, “The operation resulted in killing nine elements of the terrorist organization.”

“Security forces backed by tribal fighters from the local clans are still advancing on gathering sites and hideouts for the ISIS group militants in Salahuddin province,” the source added.
