 Security forces liberate Baiji-Haditha Road in Salahuddin, says MoD

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Monday, Iraqi Ministry of Defense said, that the security forces managed to regain control of the main road that links between Baiji and Haditha districts.

The ministry said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today, al-Jazirah and al-Badiyah Operations forces backed by volunteer fighters from the tribe of Albu-Nimir had managed to liberate the main road that links between the districts of Baiji and Haditha from ISIS,” pointing out that, “The violent clashes, which broke out between the security forces and ISIS militants, resulted in killing 2 ISIS fighters and the dismantlement of 25 improvised explosive devices, in addition to shelling a number of ISIS rocket launchers in al-Khasfa area in northeastern of Salahuddin.”
