Security forces liberate Beetar and Okailat villages in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) We Are Coming, Nineveh Operations Command announced on Thursday, that security forces liberated the villages of al-Beetar and al-Okailat, near Badush Cement Plant in Mosul.

Commander of operations, Lieutenant General Abdel Amir Yarallah, said in a press statement, “Troops of the army’s 9 armored brigade and al-Abbas brigade liberated a-Beetar and al-Okailat Villages, near Badush Cement Plant in Mosul.”

Yarallah also pointed out that the troops raised the Iraqi flag over the buildings of the two villages.

Nineveh Province is witnessing extensive military operations, after Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced launching an offensive to liberate the western side of the city of Mosul, in addition to capturing the last stronghold of the Islamic State in the city.
