Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Commander of We Are Coming, Nineveh Operations announced on Friday liberating the government buildings of Nineveh province and other directorates, as well as freeing three districts in eastern Mosul.

Lt. Gn. Abdel Amir Yarallah, said in a press statement, “Joint security forces managed to liberate Nineveh government building, the new provincial council and the mayor’s office, as well as raising Iraqi flag over the buildings.”

“Security forces were also able to liberate the government buildings of the directorates of Agriculture, Urban Planning and State’s Properties,” Yarallah added.

Yarallah also announced that Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Forces liberated the districts of Sadriyah, Nasr and Faisaliah, as well as recapturing the iron bridge in eastern Mosul.

“The Counter-Terrorism Forces inflicted heavy human and material losses on the enemy,” Yarallah explained.

Iraqi joint security forces, backed by Army Aviation and US-led international coalition, continue the battle to liberate Mosul to retake the city from the Islamic State’s grip.
