Security forces repel ISIS attack on Haditha

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, the head of Haditha district, Abdul-Hakim al-Jughaifi said, that the security forces with support from the coalition warplanes managed to repel an ISIS attack on the district.

Al-Jughaifi informed IraqiNews, “This morning, the ISIS group fighters advanced from the town of Khasfa in western Haditha towards the the district of Haditha in an extensive operation by the group,” noting that, “The security forces accompanied by tribal fighters and backed with the international coalition warplanes have managed to repel the attack.”

“The coalition warplanes targeted the ISIS vehicles killing and injuring many elements of the group,” he added.
